Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Safari Itinerary ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our service. We are committed to handling your data with care and transparency.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and, if you use Google Sign-In, your name and profile picture as provided by Google.

Content you create: Itinerary data, accommodation and activity information, uploaded images, guide profiles, and settings you configure within the Service.

Usage data: Log data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and actions taken within the Service, used for security and to improve the platform.

Billing information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • To authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • To process your subscription and billing
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, important service updates)
  • To respond to support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your content for advertising or share it with third-party marketers.

3. Public Itineraries

When you publish an itinerary and share its public link, the content of that itinerary (including text, images, and itinerary details) becomes publicly accessible to anyone with the link. You control publication — unpublishing an itinerary immediately removes it from public access.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers within the European Union. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Uploaded files are stored in a private directory and served through the application. We do not expose direct file system paths to end users.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is terminated or deleted, we retain your data for 90 days before permanent deletion, to allow for recovery in case of accidental deletion or dispute.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Safari Itinerary:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Google OAuth — optional sign-in via Google. Google's privacy policy applies to OAuth data.
  • Google Places API — location autocomplete for accommodation coordinates. Only search queries are sent; no personal data is included.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to maintain your login state. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this will prevent you from logging in.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@safari-itinerary.app. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Contact
